Practical shooting club "Delta SAJ" Belgrade was founded in 20.05.2000. in Belgrade. The most of members of the club are from special antiterrorist unit (SAJ) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia. One of the objectives of the establishment of the club is training members of the SAJ for combat shooting, according to the characteristics of the practical shooting sport, which emphasizes precision, shooting speed.
First appearance of KPP "Delta SAJ" competition is recorded 20.05.2000. Trophies on the Security IPSC 2000. in Belgrade. Results were excellent and then became clear that members of "Delta" will take high places in the national league.
KPP "Delta SAJ" has 17 members, who compete in two disciplines: Class and Standard Class Production.
President of KPP "Delta SAJ" is the captain and SAJ lieutenant Spasoje Vulevic, who is also a very successful competitor, and also president of the Federation of practical Sagittarius Serbia. Club vicepresidents are Barašin Dragan and Dušan Kuveljic, members of the SAJ and the top competitors.
Since the founding of the club, participants KPP "Delta SAJ" made a very valuable and successful results in national and international competitions, for which they have become known outside the borders of Serbia. Showcases many beautiful club medal, cup and diplomas, which speaks about the high quality of competitors. Members KPP "Delta SAJ" for nine consecutive years won the state title as a group leader in the practical shooting - Class and Standard Class Production, season 2000 - 2008.
The most successful club competitor, and also one of the best competitors in the practical shooting in Serbia, Dragan Barašin has won five Champions State Medals (four consecutive) in the Standard class individually. So convincingly demonstrated that deservedly took part in the World Championship in practical shooting, which was in October 2008. in Bali, Indonesia.
Achieved results show that KPP "Delta SAJ" has an important role in the development and promotion of sport of practical shooting in our country. Since the existence and activity of KPP "Delta SAJ"is inseparable from the SAJ, we have the right to speak about the famous SAJ's school of practical shooting.
